Creating a new task

To create a new task:

  1. Open the Task List window. See Managing tasks.
  2. Click New Task button (synweb).

    The grid area is expanded for editing.

    Tip: Do not enter a Closed Date unless you want to mark the task as already closed.

  3. Enter information about the task.
  4. Click Tick icon (synweb, square ends).

    The task is added to the grid.

    Note: If you have allocated the task to another community member or marked it as closed, you may need to select the fields at the top of the window to display the task.

    Tip: You can also create a new task from a maintenance screen by clicking New Task button (synweb).

Creating a new sub-task

To create a new sub-task:

  1. Open the Task List window. See Managing tasks.
  2. Select the parent task for the sub-task you want to create.
  3. Click New Sub Task button (synweb).

    The grid area is expanded below the parent task.

  4. Enter information about the sub-task.
  5. Click Tick icon (synweb, square ends) within the editing area.

    The task is added to the grid.

    Tip: Select Include Sub Tasks to display the sub-task.
