OSHC Months

Number of months used for OSHC calculations.

OSHC is required for overseas students for the duration of their enrolment as a condition of their visa in Australia. OSHC:

• helps pay for any medical or hospital care the student needs while studying in Australia
• contributes towards the cost of prescription medicines
• contributes towards an ambulance in an emergency
• does not cover dental, optical and physiotherapy.

OSHC is arranged by your organisation for the overseas student. Students must register with one of the authorised insurance companies.
