Processing a student leaving after the new year has been created

If a student leaves or is leaving after you have created the new academic year, you need to:

To update a student's status and remove them from next year:

  1. Search for the student in Current Student Maintenance in the current year.
  2. Click the School tab. See Current Student Maintenance - School tab in the Current students manual.
  3. Select Left or Leaving from the Status drop-down list.
  4. Type or select the Leaving Date.
  5. Select the reason for leaving from the Reason drop-down list.
  6. Select Left or Leaving from the Nxt Yr Status drop-down list.

  7. Click Save icon.
  8. Select File > Delete From Next Year from the main menu.

    The Confirm Delete window is displayed.

    Confirm Delete - About to delete current student from the specified file year (after the new year has been created)

    Note: If the following message is displayed, change to next year and delete the student's classes on the Classes tab. See Current Student Maintenance - Classes tab in the Current students manual.
    Information - Unable to delete Current Student from File Year

  9. Type delete.
  10. Click OK button.
