Creating new materials

To create a new material:

1. Either:
   • click on the Set Material Search Criteria window
   • click on the Material Maintenance toolbar
   • select File > New... from the main menu
   • right click on the Material Selector grid and select New...
   • press Ctrl + N.

   The Create New Material window is displayed.

   

2. Enter the details of the material.

   Note: We recommend that your organisation establishes a naming standard for material codes and descriptions.

3. Click .

   The new material is added.

4. Update the details of the material. See Maintaining materials and suppliers.
