Creating student transport charges

You can charge for students using transport, for example school bus services. You use the Student Transport Charges program to post charges for transport to the relevant debtor's account.

Before creating student transport charges:

Define the transport codes in the luTransport lookup table and assign fee codes to each. See luTransport lookup table in the System maintenance manual.
Create transport charges for each transport service you provide in Debtor Fee Maintenance. See Maintaining debtor fees.
Enter the information for individual students using transport on the Current Student Maintenance - Transport tab. See the Current student manual for more information.

Selections area fields

Field	Description
Process Date	All unpaid charges earlier than this date will have interest charges applied.
File Year	Year to apply the charges.
Campus	Campus the charges apply to.
From Year Level To Year Level	Range of year levels to process if applicable.
Transport Code	Transport codes to charge for.
Date to Appear on Transactions	Date charges appear on transactions.
Transaction Description Style	Format of the description on the statement. For example, <Transport Desc> <AM/PM> will display a description of transport and whether morning or afternoon. Some students may take different transport to and from school.
