Description

The MidYearStartSchoolYearFlag setting is used by organisations that:

Start their academic year in the middle of the year. For example, running from July 2013 to June 2014.
Report student enrolments to the NZMOE in March and July.

Default value

The default value is False.

This applies to organisations that start their academic year in late January or early February. That is, in most organisations in the southern hemisphere.

Setting a different value

Select the Value field on the Configuration File Maintenance window to set the value to True. See Maintaining configuration files.

Configuration File Maintenance (MidYearStartSchoolYearFlag)

This ensures that the July roll return is using data from the correct file year. For example, the July 2013 roll return uses student enrolment data from the 2013-2014 academic year.
