Creating casts

You can create Casts for each Group of performing artists in your organisation's performing arts program including:

• Swan Lake
• Grease
• Macbeth.

  Note: Casts are the level two subject class categories of Performing Arts Maintenance. See the luSubjectClassCategory lookup table.

To create casts:

1. Select Curriculum > Performing Arts Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.

   Note: The title of the Co-Curricular Maintenance menu item is determined by the MenuText field in the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.

   The Set Group Search Criteria window is displayed.

   

   Note: The windows in Performing Arts Maintenance use the words Group and Cast. This text is set using the SubjectClassCategoryLevel fields on the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table.

2. Click .

   The Performing Arts Maintenance window is displayed.

3. Select a group in the Group Selector.

   

4. Click the Students bar.

   The Students bar is displayed.

   

5. Click in the Casts area.

   The Create New Cast window is displayed.

   

6. Type a Code for the cast. For example, Grease.
7. Type a Description for the cast. For example, Grease.
8. Select a Staff Member to train the cast.

   

9. Click .

   The cast is displayed in the Group Selector.

   

10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 to add additional casts.
