Import/Export Student Data window

The Import/Export Student Data window is used to modify existing data in Synergetic according to changes past students have entered through the Potentiality web service. See Importing past student changes from Potentiality.

Select Module > Develop > Past Student Data Import/Export.
The Import/Export Student Data window is displayed.

Note: Student records that have had part or all of their changes authorised are displayed in bold font. Records that could not be linked to a student in the Synergetic database are displayed in italic font.

Field	Description
ID	Synergetic ID of the past student. Note: If the ID field is zero, Synergetic could not match the past student information to a Synergetic community member. Click the button to locate the past student manually.
Surname	Surname of the past student.
Given Name	Given name of the past student.
Birth Date	Birth date of the past student.

Note: Fields that contain values that Synergetic cannot accept are displayed in red text. These updates cannot be authorised and need to be changed manually in the student's Community Maintenance record. For example, a student may have changed their country of residence and misspelled the country, or typed in a country not included in your organisation's luCountry lookup table.

Authorised	Select to authorise this change to the field. Tip: You can also authorise records by double clicking the record or highlighting the record and pressing the space bar.

	Launch Community Maintenance to view the student's record. Note: You cannot launch Community Maintenance for records with an ID of 0.
	Import changes from an XML file.
	Launch the Find Name on Community window to select a past student in the Synergetic database who matches the selected record entered in Potentiality.
	Remove the past student from the window. Note: Records that have been deleted can only be reinstated by reloading the file, which overwrites any authorisations, updates or corrections you have made to other records in the Potentiality file.
	Update all authorised changes for the selected student record.
	Go to the first changed record.
	Go to the previous changed record.
	Go to the next changed record.
	Go to the last changed record.
	Set all changes to the selected student's record as authorised. Note: Entries that have invalid lookup table values or that would overwrite existing values with blank ones are not authorised.
	Update all authorised changes for all student records.
	Close the Import/Export Student Data window.
