Some assessment areas require the entry of a comment rather than just a result. These are usually indicated by a Comment result type.
You can enter comments for a student's assessment area using the Single window or Class window of Results Maintenance. These are known as topic comments.
In the following example, we are entering topic comments against the Exam assessment area.
To enter a topic comment against a student's assessment area:
Tip: You can also enter Topic Comments for multiple students on the Class window. See Results Maintenance - Class window.
The student's results are displayed.
The Classes window is redisplayed with the topic comments.
Tip: You can use the question mark character (?) instead of typing out the student's name; SynWeb automatically inserts the preferred name.
The Comment Bank window is displayed. Locate and select the required comment, then click . The Topic Comment field is updated with the selection from the Comment Bank window.
Tip: You can enter the Overall Comment using the same technique. See Entering overall comments.
The following window is displayed if the spell check has been set to check automatically. See AutoSpellCheck configuration setting in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
The Single window of Results Maintenance is redisplayed.
