Configuration File Maintenance - Menubar Custom Icons.gif

Description

The CustomIcon configuration setting allows users to replace the default icons on the main Synergetic toolbar with their own icons.

Select the icon you want to change by searching for the icon name in the Find box or selecting from the list. See Configuration File Maintenance window.

The name of the icon to be replaced is in the Key4 field.

Default value

The default is blank. This means that Synergetic's default icons are used.

Setting a different value

Set the Value field of the Configuration File Maintenance window as the filename and path of the file that you would like to use as the icon for the menu listed in Key4. See Maintaining configuration files.

Note: Any icon you choose to use MUST be a bitmap image of 48 x 48 pixel dimensions. If the selected image does not fulfil these criteria, then the default image is displayed.
If the user preferences are to display the image without captions, the selected image will display as 37 pixels high. See Setting up Synergetic the way you want in the Introduction manual.

Tip: If you put an asterisk in front of the filename, Synergetic ignores it and uses the default icon instead. For example, *\\Server\Synergetic\Students.bmp.
