Curriculum Code

Unique code used within Synergetic for the framework.

Description

Framework name.

Level 1 Name

Name used for the curriculum area group at your organisation.

Previously displayed as Strands grid area.

Level 2 Name

Name used for the curriculum area at your organisation.

Previously displayed as Domains grid area.

Level 3 Name

Name used for the strand or mode at your organisation.

Previously displayed as Dimensions grid area.

Click to load a pre-defined framework. See Loading pre-defined curriculum frameworks.

Tip: You can add custom levels to curriculum frameworks. See Manually adding custom levels to curriculum frameworks.

Delete the selected framework and all its three levels of definitions.

Note: This will also remove any links to subject assessment areas, which will need re-linking to the new curriculum entries after adding/loading frameworks.

Strand Code

Unique code used within Synergetic for level 1 curriculum entries.

Description

Description for level 1 curriculum entries, depending on the framework.

For the Victorian Curriculum.

For AusVELS, one of the three core, interrelated strands of learning.

Add level 1 curriculum area group or AusVELS strand.

Note: You will also need to add level 2 and 3 entries in turn.

Delete the selected level 1 item and its level 2 children and level 3 grandchildren.

Domain Code

Unique code used within Synergetic for level 2 curriculum entries.

Description

Group of essential knowledge, skills and behaviours.

Summarise

Used to indicate that the results are to be summarised at level 2 (curriculum area or AusVELS domain) rather than broken down to each level 3 entry (strand, mode or AusVELS dimension).

Australian Curric

Currently only used for Crystal Reports.

Originally used for VELS which was superseded by AusVELS and then Victorian Curriculum F-10.

Add level 2 curriculum area or AusVELS domain.

Note: You will also need to add level 3 entries in turn.

Delete the selected level 2 item and its level 3 children.

Dimension Code

Unique code used within Synergetic.

Description

Strand, mode or dimension which has standards written for it.

Result Min

Minimum value that the strand, mode or dimension can be assigned by the calculation.

Result Max

Maximum value that the strand, mode or dimension can be assigned by the calculation.

Sequence

Language sequences used in the Victorian Curriculum F-10:

• Years F–10 Sequence
• Years 7–10 (Year 7 Entry) Sequence.

Pathways for Chinese language in the Victorian Curriculum F-10:

• Background Language Learner Pathway

Active

Whether this strand, mode or dimension is active or not.

Add level 3 curriculum strand, mode or AusVELS dimension.

Delete the selected level 3 item.
