Payroll Pay Rate Maintenance - Maintenance tab

Use the Pay Codes sub-tab to:

view the various pay codes and the pay rates associated with them
update the pay rates associated with pay codes and the date these updates will become effective.

Note: Only the New Rate, New Factor, New Amount and Effective Date fields can be edited. All other fields are read-only.

Pay Code Definitions grid area fields

Field	Description
Select	Select to modify this pay code.
Pay Code	The code representing that pay.
Description	A short description of the pay code.
Pay Code Type	The category of the pay code. For example: Salary Sacrifice.
Units	Number of units typically worked per pay period. Note: This only applies to pay codes that are used for casual or hourly wages.
Current Rate	The dollars-per-unit currently paid for that pay code.
New Rate	The new dollars-per-unit paid for that pay code.
Current Factor	The factor by which the pay code is multiplied.
New Factor	The new factor by which the pay code will be multiplied.
Current Amount	The amount paid for that pay code.
New Amount	The new amount paid for that pay code.
Effective Date	The date from which the pay code change will be effective.
Selected Pay Code Records	The number of pay code records currently selected.
Selected Employee Records	The number of employee records currently selected.

Employees with Pay Code defaults grid area fields

Field	Description
Name	The names of employees who use the default pay code pay rates and are affected by changes to the pay rates.
ID	The Synergetic IDs of employees who use the default pay code pay rates.

Employees with Pay Code non-defaults grid area fields

The names of employees who override the default pay code pay rates with a different pay rate.

Note: Employees who override the default pay code pay rate are not affected by changes to the default rate.
