This section outlines changes to the Introduction manual arising from changes made to SynWeb version 2.63.

You can display the online help by selecting an option on the SynWeb main menu.

Home window (main menu, cut down)

You can link to specific help topics from the navigation bars of the following maintenance windows:

  • Class Maintenance
  • Staff Maintenance
  • Student Maintenance.

Back button available.

The Back icon (back button) is used to return to the previous window, except for some transactions.

Navigating around SynWeb

 

User preference to allow the Active Student field to be set to a default value.

A new option is available to set the Active Student field to default to Yes on the Current Student Search Criteria window.

Changing your user preferences

 

Remove command link available when sending emails.

You can remove attachments from the Send Email window, if added in error earlier.

Replaceable text in the body of email messages.

You can use replaceable fields in the body of email messages. This uses data about the community members to generate the email.

Tag List window available.

You can create and maintain tag lists using the Tag List window. Other functions are available, such as adding tagged community members to:

  • user-defined constituencies
  • classes.

Document management functions available.

For the selected community member, you can:

  • add new documents
  • view and delete existing documents
  • maintain the details of existing documents.

Your previous settings on each Search Criteria window are retained from the last time you used it.
