Copying subject assessment definitions

Use the Subject Assessment Other Definition Maintenance window:

The Subject Assessment Other Definition Maintenance window is structured into the following grid areas:

Strands. These are the three core, interrelated strands of learning:
- Physical, Personal and Social Learning.
- Discipline-based Learning.
- Inter-disciplinary Learning.
Domains. Within each strand of learning, the essential knowledge, skills and behaviours are organised into domains.
Dimensions. Divisions within each domain which have standards written for each.

Codes are set by VELS and AusVELS and imported into Synergetic.

Fields

Field	Description
Year	Adjust the year to display the VELS definitions for the year, if available.

Buttons

Button	Description
	Either: copy the VELS definitions from a prior year. create an AusVELS definition from a VELS definition. For example, from 2013 to 2014. To copy the VELS or AusVELS definitions: Adjust the Year field to next year. Click . The Year to copy VELS Domains from window is displayed. Adjust the Year field of the year you are copying from, if necessary. Click . The following dialog window is displayed. Click . The strands, domains and links are copied over. The links to any assessment areas are also copied.

Domain Code	Unique code used within Synergetic.
Description	Group of essential knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Domain Summarise	Used to indicate that the VELS or AusVELS results are to be summarised by domain rather than broken down to each dimension.
Seq	Used to set the order that the domains are structured within VELS.

Dimension Code	Unique code used within Synergetic.
Description	Division which has standards written for it.
Result Min	Minimum value that the dimension can be assigned by the calculation.
Result Max	Maximum value that the dimension can be assigned by the calculation.
Seq	Used to set the order that the dimensions are structured within VELS.
