Maintaining subject assessments

Within each learning area, define all the subjects that are taught as part of that learning area. For example, the SOSE learning area might contain History, Geography and Politics subjects.

For each subject, define the criteria for assessing that subject using subject assessment areas used for marking students and reporting on their progress. For example, attainment, effort, end of year exam, project, assignment and test results. See Maintaining subject assessment areas.

Assessments are maintained on the sub-tabs of the Summary tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window, as described below.

How to:

• Search for a subject and assessment areas for the selected subject. See Searching for subjects and assessment areas.
• Create a new subject assessment. See Creating new subject assessments.
• Rename a subject assessment. See Renaming subject assessments.
• Without changing the name of the subject, you can assign the subject assessment to a:
  • campus, if the campus was not specified before
  • different campus
  • different file type. See Moving subject assessments.
• Copy a subject assessment, along with comments and awards if required. See Copying subject assessments.
• Delete a subject assessment, if there are no classes and results associated with it. See Deleting subject assessments.
• Maintain comments re-used in student reports. See Comment bank.
• Load and copy existing comments into the subject assessment. See Loading and copying existing comments.
