Making a staff member available as a substitute

You can make a staff member available as a substitute by selecting the Available for Substitutes field on the Substitute bar of Staff Maintenance. See Staff Maintenance - Substitute bar.

Note: You can also select the Available for Substitutes field on the Substitutes tab of Staff Maintenance in Synergetic. See Staff Maintenance - Substitute tab in the Synergetic Human resources manual.

Once the staff member has been marked as available for substitution, they appear in the search grid in SynWeb when you are making a substitution for a class.

To make a staff member available for substitution:

1. Open the Substitute bar of Staff Maintenance.

   

2. Select the Available for Substitutes field.
3. If required, you can restrict the campuses where the staff member can substitute by selecting them in the Campus 1 and Campus 2 fields.

   Any substitutions made in SynWeb are displayed in the grid area on this tab.
