Creating teams

You can create Teams for each Squad in your organisation's sports program. For example, teams in the under-12 basketball squad.

Note: Teams are the level three subject class categories of Sports Maintenance. See the luSubjectClassCategory lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

To create teams:

1. Select Curriculum > Sports Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.

   Note: The title of the Co-Curricular Maintenance menu item is determined by the MenuText field in the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

   The Set Sports Search Criteria window is displayed.

   

   Note: The windows in Sports Maintenance use the words Sport, Squad and Team. These descriptions are set using the SubjectClassCategoryLevel fields on the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

2. Click .

   The Sports Maintenance window is displayed.

3. Select a squad in the Sport Selector.

   

4. Click the Students bar.

   The Students bar is displayed.

   

5. Click in the Teams area.

   The Create New Team window is displayed.

   

   Tip: You can also click to quickly add a new team.

6. Type a Code for the team. For example, BasketballU12A.
7. Enter a Description for the team. For example, BasketballU12A.
8. Select a Staff Member to oversee the team.

   

9. Click .

   The team is displayed in the Sports Selector.

   

10. Repeat steps 5 through 9 to create additional teams.
