Updating data sources of individual Crystal Reports

Note: Organisations migrating to Version 68 need to update Crystal Reports to work with the single database structure. See Updating Crystal Reports for the single database structure.

To update the data source settings of an individual Crystal Report:

  1. Start Crystal Reports Developer.
  2. Open the report to configure.
  3. Select File > Set Datasource Location from the main menu.

    The Set Datasource Location window is displayed.

  4. Check that the Use DSN Default Properties property is set to True under the Properties node of the:

    Set Datasource Location (Use DSN Defaults Properties, True)

  5. Check that under the top-level report node, there is only:

    Set Datasource Location (report node, SynergyOne)

  6. Check that under the Subreports node there is only one instance of the Synergetic database displayed.

  7. Check that any User ID fields are SQL users.

  8. Check that there is not a Trusted Connection property listed anywhere.

  9. Save and close the window.
