Navigating Primary Time

Navigating around Primary Time is relatively straightforward:

• most functions can be accessed by clicking on one of the main tabs
• less used functions can be accessed by selecting a menu option, such as:
  • cross-checking teacher loads
  • yard duty rostering
  • outputting reports.

To navigate in Primary Time:

1. Double click on your desktop to open Primary Time.

   The Year Group Allocation tab is displayed.

   

2. Either:
   • click on one of the main tabs:
     • Year Group Allocation tab. See Using the Year Group Allocation tab.
     • Schedule tab. See Using the Schedule tab.
     • Customise tab. See Using the Customise tab.
     • Class Preview tab. See Using the Class Preview tab.
     • Teacher Preview tab. See Using the Teacher Preview tab.
     • Exception Preview tab. See Using the Exception Preview tab.
     • Yard Duty tab. See Using the Yard Duty tab.
   • select an option from the menu:
     • File menu. See Saving timetabling data.
     • Basic Data menu. See Defining timetable structures.
     • Allocation menu. See Using the Year Group Allocation tab.
     • Cross Check menu. See Cross-checking allocations.
     • Schedule menu. See Using the Schedule tab.
     • Yard Duty menu. See Yard duty rosters.
     • Reports menu. See Outputting timetables.

Tip: The following example is written as 'Select File > Save from the main menu'.
