Future Student Maintenance - Classes tab

Use the Classes tab to maintain academic and co-curricular classes the student is enrolled in at your organisation.

For academic classes, either:

import this information through the timetable import program
use Class Maintenance to add, view and edit class information.
Note: The Classes tab is only displayed if the student has been transferred to the Current students constituency. The word Current is displayed at the top of the main window.

Fields

Field	Description
File Type	Type of class. For example: academic classes music classes sport and so on. Tip: Set the File Type to blank to show all types of classes for the student.

Class grid area

Field	Description
Class	Class code.
Description	Class description. Note: The description is obtained automatically from the Class Maintenance module.
Status	Whether the student has completed the requirements for the class. Note: This field is normally used for external study or co-curricular classes. It can also be used for charging purposes. See Making adjustments for students not attending classes in the Debtors manual.
Staff	Staff code for the staff member taking the class.

Buttons

Button	Description
	Launch the Class Maintenance window for the selected class. You can view or update teacher, student or timetable details for the class. This is useful for viewing a list of students in the class. See Maintaining classes in the Assessments and reports manual.
