Adding a template to an existing task

You can add a template as a sub-task to an existing task. Templates can be nested into as many sub-tasks as required.

To add a template to an existing task:

  1. Click New Task (No Template)... button (ellipses).

    The Task window is displayed.

  2. Type the required task fields and create sub-tasks as required. See Using the Task window.
  3. Click Save Task As Template button (workflow tasks).

    The Save Task as Template window is displayed.

  4. Edit the fields as required. See Using the Task window.
  5. Click Ok button (Select a Template for New Task window).
  6. Select the task under which you want to place the template.

  7. Click Add subtask button (workflow tasks).

    The Select a Template for New Task window is displayed.

  8. Select the template you want to add as a sub-task.
  9. Click Ok button (Select a Template for New Task window).

    The template is added as a sub-task to the highlighted task.

Note: If you add a template as a sub-task, a confirmation dialog is displayed warning that the template's root task is being added as a sub-task. Click Yes button. The template will be added as a sub-task to the selected task, not as the root task.
