Medical Maintenance - Medical Condition tab

Use the Asthma Details sub-tab to record information about a student's asthma condition.

Note: To view the Asthma Details sub-tab a medical condition with the SynergyMeaning of ASTHMA must be must be selected in the grid area. See the luMedicalConditionType lookup table in the System maintenance manual.

To open the Asthma Details sub-tab:

Open the Medical tab from one of the following maintenance windows:
- Current Student Maintenance. See Current Student Maintenance - Medical tab in the Current students manual.
- Future Student Maintenance. See Future Student Maintenance - Medical tab in the Future students manual.
- Past Student Maintenance. See Past Student Maintenance - Medical tab in the Past students manual.
- Staff Maintenance. See Staff Maintenance - Medical tab in the Human resources manual.
Click .
The Summary tab of the Medical Maintenance window is displayed.
Click the Medical Condition tab.
The Condition sub-tab of the Medical Condition tab is displayed.
Select the asthma record in the grid area.
Click the Asthma Details sub-tab.
The Asthma Details sub-tab of the Medical Condition tab of the Medical Maintenance window is displayed.

Medical Maintenance - Medical Condition tab - Asthma Details sub-tab key fields and buttons

Field	Description
Asthma Category	Category of the asthma condition. See the luAsthmaCategory lookup table in the System maintenance manual.
Last Hospitalisation Date	Date the student was last hospitalised due to their asthma condition.
Asthma Triggers	Description of the triggers that cause the student to have asthma attacks.
Normal Peak Flow	Normal level of peak expiratory flow.
Low Peak Flow	Low level of peak expiratory flow.
Doctor Peak Flow	Level of peak expiratory flow recorded by the doctor.
Treat as per regions school policy for Emergency Treatment	Select to indicate the student will be treated in accordance with regional emergency treatment guidelines.
Treat as per the individual Emergency Treatment	Select to indicate the student will be treated according to individual emergency treatment guidelines.
Asthma Action	Description of actions to be taken to manage the asthma condition.
