TerminationString

Description

The TerminationString setting is used to set a termination string. This is a string of characters that Synergetic appends to the end of an SMS message. The termination string is then recognised by the SMS provider and any part of the message that appears after the termination string is dropped.

See Sending SMS text messages in the Introduction manual.

Note: The termination string is of use because there may be extra information in an outgoing email that your organisation does not want to include in a SMS message, such as your organisation's email signature.

Default value

There is no default value set for this field.

Setting a different value

If you use Synergetic Management Systems as your SMS gateway provider then you should set the Value to {end} (including the braces).

Configuration File Maintenance - TerminationString (cudown)

If you are not using Synergetic Management Systems, consult with your SMS gateway provider regarding their preferred termination string.
