Past student creation windows

The Name window is displayed first when creating past students.

Enter the details of the past student. If the information you enter matches one or more members of the community database, Synergetic displays a window showing possible matches. You can either:

Select a record from the grid and make them the past student.
Create a new record. This creates a completely new member in the community database.

The following windows are displayed after the Name window:

Home address details. See Address window in the Community manual for a similar example.
Note: You can enable the Quick Address System (QAS) to display matching address records as you type into address fields. See Configuring address validation in the System maintenance manual.
Phone/Occupation address details. See Phone/Occupation window in the Community manual for a similar example.
Enrolment details for the final year at your organisation. See Create New Past Student - Past Student Detail window.

A new past student record is added. You can maintain other information about the past student in Past Student Maintenance. See Maintaining past students.

Create New Past Student - Name window key fields

Field	Description
Record Type	New past students should only be Personal. Select this using the radio button at the top of this window.
Use existing ID	If you are creating a past student from an existing community member and you know their Synergetic ID, select this field and enter the ID into the ID field.
