Deleting staff members

When a staff member leaves a position, you can either:

Note: When you delete or deactivate a staff member, they are removed from the staff constituency @STF and placed in the past staff constituency @STPF.
The NextConstituencyCode of the luConstituency lookup table is used to determine the next constituency that a community member is put in if they are removed from the constituency they are a member of.

Making a staff member inactive

To make a staff member inactive:

  1. Select Module > Human Resources > Staff Maintenance from the main menu.
  2. Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.

    The Personal tab of the Staff Maintenance window is displayed.

  3. Click the School tab.

    The School tab of the Staff Maintenance window is displayed.

  4. Clear the Active Staff Member field.

    The staff member is removed from the current staff constituency and moved to the past staff constituency @STFP.

Deleting a staff member

You can delete a staff member by either using the:

Using the Staff Selector window

To delete a staff member:

  1. Select Module > Human Resources > Staff Maintenance from the main menu.
  2. Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.

    The Staff Selector grid and the Personal tab of the Staff Maintenance window are displayed.

  3. Highlight the staff member in the Staff Selector grid.
  4. Right-click.

    The following menu is displayed.

  5. Select Delete.

    The following window is displayed.

  6. Click Yes button.

    The following window is displayed.

  7. Type delete to confirm that you want to delete the staff member.

    The staff member is deleted and moved to the past staff constituency @STPF.

    Note: The staff member can still be found by searching for Inactive staff.

Using the Staff Maintenance window

To delete a staff member:

  1. Search for the staff member. See Searching for staff members.
  2. Select File > Delete from the menu.

    The following window is displayed.

    Confirm Delete - About to delete staff member

  3. Type delete to confirm that you want to delete the staff member.

    The staff member is deleted and moved to the past staff constituency @STPF.
