Enhanced search capabilities in Configuration File Maintenance.

The search can filter the configuration data based on the key word entered. The search looks at all keys, and optionally the value field, for the key word entered.

A configuration record now allows two comments. One is a Synergetic Management Systems comment and one for your own comment.

If a comment has been added, it is displayed on the side panel.

Finance Configuration Maintenance - changes to Business Units and Sales tabs to allow you to configure the way your organisation handles sales.

A new flag Include Consignment Stock on Search is available on the Consignment sub-tab which allows you to determine whether to include consignment stock in the item stocktake process or not.

Sales Entry - Allow scans of the same item to be summarised into one line.

The Adjust Quantity for Same Sale Item field has been added to the Page 1 tab of Finance Configuration Maintenance - Business Units - Sales sub-tab.

This reflects the new capability that if the customer purchases more than one of the same item, they either appear as:

• separate line items

  

• one line item with the quantity reflecting the number being purchased.

  

This can be set independently for each business unit at your organisation.

Using the Sales Entry window in the Sales manual

Sales Entry - New No Sale Password field to accompany the new button.

The No Sale Password field has been added to the Page 2 tab of Finance Configuration Maintenance - Business Units - Sales sub-tab.

Using the Sales Entry window in the Sales manual

Attendance Maintenance - ability to default to students either being non-attended or attended.

A new configuration setting has been developed to determine the initial condition of the Attended field on the Attendance window.

This is a requirement for New Zealand schools, however Australian schools may prefer to select marking students present, rather marking absent students.

Attendance Maintenance user flags.

Up to five additional user-defined fields (columns) can be included in the grid area.

For example, you can set the flags to mark whether homework has been submitted, merit points have been awarded or demerit points have been given to a student during class.

Change to the way Peer Year is determined.

The UseEntryDate configuration setting has been documented. The setting is used to determine which fields are used to set a past student's peer year, when transferring them from current students to past students. You can now use the student's entry date.

Existing postings are not affected by changing the detailed control setting in Finance Configuration Maintenance.

A new flag has been added to the posting control record, so that if the Create Detailed Control Journals for G/L Postings field is set to detailed (multiple dates within the posting) on the General tab of Finance Configuration Maintenance existing postings is not affected.
