Introduction

This section outlines changes to the Introduction manual arising from changes made to Synergetic (versions 66R2-67.01).

Note: The look and feel of Synergetic depends on the PC it is running on. The screenshots in this manual use both the version 67 and pre-66 look and feel. You may notice a slight difference in appearance between this manual and Synergetic running at your organisation but the functionality is exactly the same.

Improved filter search for drop-down lists.

You can filter drop-down lists by typing any word into the field provided. The drop-down list will refresh to display matching entries.

New search example

Using drop-down lists

New preferences for using old grids and drop-down list searching.

You can select the following fields on the Preferences tab of the User Preferences window:

  • Old Style Grids to display grids with horizontal lines
  • Lookup Search Method to determine which search method is used for drop-down list searching.

New ability to search tabs by name.

You can use the Search Tabs By Name window to search for tabs by name.

New tab highlights

You can click Colour icon (Customise tab layout) on the Customise Tab Layout window to apply highlights to frequently used tabs.

New pivot view for grid area records.

You can use the Grid Record Pivot View window to switch between individual grid area records.

Sorting and filtering grids

New privacy settings for email templates.

You can use the new privacy settings on the Edit template window to:

  • create new private email templates
  • assign owners to private email templates
  • filter the templates displayed in the grid area.

Maintaining email templates

Fields Changed tab added to the User/Workflow Task window.

You can use the Fields Changed tab of the User/Workflow Task window to view and approve field changes.

New Mode field added to the Action Centre.

You can use the Mode grid area field on the Action Centre window to determine whether Action Centre messages are either:

  • targeted to specific community IDs
  • sent to subscribers.

New ability to mark individual messages as read.

You can use the following buttons to mark individual messages as read:

  • Mark as read (info) button
  • Mark as read (alert) button

New maintenance launch buttons added.

You can use the following buttons to launch maintenance records linked to Action Centre messages.

  • Mark as read and launch button
  • Start and launch button
  • Complete and Launch button.

The following tabs have been added to the Action Centre:

  • Fields Changed tab
  • About tab
  • Order Details tab
  • Approval tab.
