Maintaining subject assessment areas

Subjects and subject assessment areas have a one-to-one relationship; there can only be one set of criteria for assessing a subject in each reporting period. See Maintaining subject assessments.

Any class can use an assessment area and all students in that class can have results entered for their work throughout each reporting period.

Assessment areas are maintained on the sub-tabs of the Area tab of the Subject Assessment Maintenance window, as described below.

How to:

Search for a subject and assessment areas for the selected subject. See Searching for subjects and assessment areas.
Create a new subject assessment area after the existing areas. See Creating new subject assessment areas.
Create a new subject assessment area for entering expected results. See Creating subject assessment areas for entering expected results.
Insert a new subject assessment area using the Subject Assessment Selector window. See Inserting new subject assessment areas.
Create a new AusVELS Curriculum subject assessment area. See Creating new AusVELS Curriculum subject assessment areas.
Create a new Victorian Curriculum subject assessment area. See Creating new Victorian Curriculum F-10 subject assessment areas.
Move a subject assessment area to another position on the report. See Moving an assessment area to another sequence.
Merge assessment areas. See Merging other assessment areas into the current assessment area.
Delete an assessment area. See Deleting subject assessment areas.
Load and copy existing comments into an assessment area. See Loading and copying existing comments.

In addition to assessment areas where an assessment result is entered, formulas can be defined which use other assessments areas or the result of other calculations. Each formula is created as a new assessment area record. See:
