Current Student Maintenance - Sports classes tab

Use the Sports Classes tab to view and maintain co-curricular details for the selected student.

Note: You need to assign co-curricular classes to the selected student to enable this tab. See the SynWeb Co-curricular configuration manual.

To open the Sports classes tab:

Select Module > Students > Current Student Maintenance from the main menu.
The Set Current Student Search Criteria window is displayed.

Tip: You can also access the current student functions by clicking .
Search for the student. See Searching for existing students in the Current students manual.
Click the Sports classes tab.
The Sports classes tab of Current Student Maintenance is displayed.

Note: The Sport, Squad and Team fields relate to Subject class category fields 1 to 3.

Sports Terms	Select to a co-curricular term to display co-curricular records for the selected student.

Select to a co-curricular term to display co-curricular records for the selected student.

Field	Description
Subject class category 1	Level 1 subject class category. For example, Sport. Note: The title of this field depends on the subject class category selected in the SubjectClassCategoryCode1 field of the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
Subject class category 2	Level 2 subject class category. For example, Squad. Note: The title of this field depends on the subject class category selected in the SubjectClassCategoryCode2 field of the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
Subject class category 3	Level 3 subject class category. For example, Team. Note: The title of this field depends on the subject class category selected in the SubjectClassCategoryCode3 field of the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
Class	Co-Curricular class code.
Description	Description of the co-curricular class.
Staff	Staff member assigned to the co-curricular class.
Comment	Comment field.
Representation	Whether the student has represented at a professional event or competition.
Colours	Team colours of the student.
Position	Role of the student in the co-curricular activity.
Points	Points earned by the student.

Description

Subject class category 1

Level 1 subject class category. For example, Sport.

Note: The title of this field depends on the subject class category selected in the SubjectClassCategoryCode1 field of the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

Subject class category 2

Level 2 subject class category. For example, Squad.

Note: The title of this field depends on the subject class category selected in the SubjectClassCategoryCode2 field of the luFileTypeProgram lookup table. See the luFileTypeProgram lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.

Subject class category 3

Level 3 subject class category. For example, Team.

Class

Co-Curricular class code.

Description

Description of the co-curricular class.

Staff

Staff member assigned to the co-curricular class.

Comment

Comment field.

Representation

Whether the student has represented at a professional event or competition.

Colours

Team colours of the student.

Position

Role of the student in the co-curricular activity.

Points

Points earned by the student.

Note: To enable the following buttons you need to select a Co-Curricular term in the Sports Terms field then select a co-curricular class in the grid area. If there are no co-curricular classes in the grid area you need to assign the student to a class. See Maintaining co-curricular programs in the SynWeb Curriculum manual.

Note: This button will disabled if the student is not assigned to a subject class category level 1 class for the selected co-curricular term. Launch the Modify Sports Classes window to modify the student's sporting details.
