Current Student Maintenance - Scholarships bar

Use the Scholarships bar to view a list of scholarships that the student has applied for or has been awarded at your organisation. When you transfer a future student to current students, any scholarships with Finalised status are transferred with the student's record.

Note: Scholarships have no financial effect. Use concessions to record discounts or other financial benefits awarded to students. See Current Student Maintenance - Concessions tab in the Synergetic Current students manual.

Music scholarships that offset lesson fees need a special music class to be created linked to a debtor fee with a negative amount. See Class Maintenance - Charges bar in the Assessments and reports manual.

To open the Scholarships bar:

Select Students > Student Maintenance from the SynWeb main menu.
The Current Student Maintenance Search Criteria window is displayed.
Search for the student. See Searching for students.
The first student's record is displayed on the Current Student Maintenance window. One or more bars are expanded depending on your last session or earlier selections.
Scroll down to the Scholarships bar, if required.
Click the Scholarships bar.
Tip: You can click anywhere on the bar to open it.

Field	Description
Scholarship	Name of the scholarship.
Year	Year the student applied for the scholarship.
Status	Status of the scholarship application. Typical values are: Applied Confirmed. A SynergyMeaning of Confirmed identifies scholarships that are confirmed. When future students are transferred to current students: scholarship entries with a status of Confirmed are shown on the Scholarships bar any other scholarship entries can be viewed in the Scholarships tab of Synergetic Current Student Maintenance. Note: Maintain the values in the luScholarshipStatus lookup table. See luScholarshipStatus lookup table in the Synergetic System maintenance manual.
Enquiry Date	Date of the initial enquiry for the scholarship.
Test Date	Date the student was tested for the scholarship.
Mark	Result of the scholarship test.
Finalised Date	Date the student's scholarship application was finalised.
Comment	Any comments about the student's scholarship application.
